Any text you type on our CONTACT or RESERVATION or BOOKING form is not shared with anyone outside of this company. The information is used as feedback from our clients to help us better understand and respond to the needs and requirements of a visitor to South Africa, in terms of a Safari Adventure.

Media

All of our images displayed on our website are either part of our personal photo collection, generic AI-generated advertisements for our range of package tours or from the public domain. Should a photo be used belonging to someone else who’s name is available a due acknowledgement is accredited to that person by printing his or her name.

Whilst browsing our website, certain personal information is temporarily retained for convenience to assist you with not having to retype information. This information is cleared regularly.

Your payment method details will be shared with our internationally acclaimed payment gateway service providers to enable financial transactions to be processed. Our website is hosted by a reputable , registered internet service provider, based in South Africa.

With whom do we share your data

None of your personal information is shared with any third party not involved with directly or indirectly the processing of your information to effect a successful transaction.

How long we retain your data

There is functionality on our website for your personal “My Account” information. It allows you to see your transaction history with Wild Impala Tours. You can review all package tours you have booked on our system. Apart from that, the retention of your personal information is determined by the frequency the cache memory is refreshed.

What rights you have over your data

Your rights over your personal data is protected under the “Protection of Personal Information Act, the high level overview of which is displayed below for your perusal and reference.

Where we send your data

We don’t collect or disseminate any of our clients’ or visitors’ personal information to any 3rd party who isn’t involved in the processing of your package tour enquiry and/or booking.

Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)

To promote the protection of personal information processed by public and private bodies; to introduce certain conditions so as to establish minimum requirements for the processing of personal information; to provide for the establishment of an Information Regulator to exercise certain powers and to perform certain duties and functions in terms of this Act and the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000; to provide for the issuing of codes of conduct; to provide for the rights of persons regarding unsolicited electronic communications and automated decision making; to regulate the flow of personal information across the borders of the Republic; and to provide for matters connected therewith.

PREAMBLE

RECOGNISING THAT—

  • section 14 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, provides that everyone has the right to privacy;
  • the right to privacy includes a right to protection against the unlawful collection, retention, dissemination and use of personal information;
  • the State must respect, protect, promote and fulfill the rights in the Bill of Rights;

AND BEARING IN MIND THAT—

  • consonant with the constitutional values of democracy and openness, the need for economic and social progress, within the framework of the information society, requires the removal of unnecessary impediments to the free flow of information, including personal information;

AND IN ORDER TO—

regulate, in harmony with international standards, the processing of personal information by public and private bodies in a manner that gives effect to the right to privacy subject to justifiable limitations that are aimed at protecting other rights and important interests,
